Race for the iron throne

She clearly is bargaining in bad faith, though. The slavers of Yunkai and Dany can’t ever make a real peace, their offers and counteroffers are too far apart from what the other could accept. The Lannisters could possibly make peace with the Starks and Tullys, though obviously we have to ask how things would go for the Lannisters if they agreed to Robb’s peace. The issue of realistic peace is also present.

True, that leads into issues of how far is too far to go for something good, but I’d still give her somewhat more lenience than I would Tyrion, who knows full well what the side he’s fighting on is like and how it’s only fighting for his side’s immediate self interests. I will say in her defense though that her motive isn’t personal gain or to support a side because she’s on it, but to stop an evil being actively inflicted on people. It’s a good question and I don’t think she’s totally free of criticism for it. What do you think of Daenerys negotiating in bad faith? Given how you compared Tyrion’s similar attitude in Tyrion VI ACOK to the Red Wedding, I was hoping for at least a comment.
