Playing in a(n all too brief) Westeros mod hotseat helped raise my interest in the books.I saw that mod for Medieval 2, looked really interesting but was bare bones when I came upon it, before I'd even heard of the HBO show, but it was ultimately that which convinced me I should read them. I don't think it really takes away from the TV adaptation of the story in any way. Namely Jon and Robb who are supposed to be 15 at the start of the series I believe, but Sansa stands out the most as the books have her at 13 years old.
She had to be aged up significantly for the TV series, she's 14 in the books and when they do the Dany/Drogo 'scenes' you can't be doing that with a 14 year old character, even if the actress is older.Of course, lots of other characters are aged too. Peter Dinklage does an outstanding job as him in the HBO series too. I haven't got to any twists yet, I'm hoping the dwarf comes out on top thoughYeah Tyrion is a great character, and also one of my favourites.
